The Well Irish Pub and restaurant.

Having have spent more than Two and a half years in Eldoret, I have always been searching for a place ‘ an heaven’ where I could just walk into on a Friday night with my boyfriend and have that cool relaxing drink as we watch tele or discuss ideas.

We hadn’t found one in those two years till yesterday when we walked into the Well Irish Pub restaurant at around 8.20 pm. The environment was calm and welcoming and the air was filled with the unforgettable yet welcoming aroma of food and alcohol.

We walked to the balcony hoping to see the night view of Eldoret town but to our disappointment, it wasn’t clearly visible. The balcony is specially designed to soot cigar smoking so we opted for an indoor seating since we treasure our privacy.

The well is famous for its Irish dishes and their Mocktail& cocktails and I just couldn’t wait to sip on one. I ordered their English Fish and mushy Peas with mashed potatoes while my man preferred to take ugali with chicken curry. For drinks I ordered a Barman’s Mocktail while my man ordered a glass of sweet red wine.

I must confess that the place was heavenly. The seats were comfortable enough for me to forget that I wasn’t home. Their menu is alittle bit expensive though the food is worth every penny. The bill is usually inclusive of 16%VAT and 2% Tourism Fund.

The food took approximately 20 minutes to be prepared and the taste was unforgettable. The English Fish just melted into my mouth and the mushy Peas just had the right constistency. The mashed potatoes were also nicely done and the salad was fresh and crunchy.

The Irish pub is definitely a place that I would recommend to anyone who wants style, privacy and comfort all in one place. I definitely found my little heaven away from home and my go to eat out place in Eldoret.

Poa place-Places to visit in Eldoret.

Ever wondered where to take your friends for a breather in Eldoret? Where to hangout with your family on weekends? Where to take a walk;have some alone time while enjoying nature? Well,I have the perfect place for you.

I visited poa place gardens over the weekend with my sister (Victoria)and of course considering that she was in Eldoret for visit, she was really thrilled when I suggested the place.

The drive was short since it’s located less than 5km from eldoret town along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway. The entry fee per person is usually 150kenyan shillings,which is quite pocket friendly considering that the experience is worth it.

You can choose to have a guided tour but we opted for a self-guided tour. Every animal is caged with a label explaining about it placed on the cage. They house different types of wildlife ranging from different types of monkeys,birds,lions,cheetah, tortoises to crocodiles and lizards.

The most amazing part of the park is the snake park where they house different types of snakes. Each snake is labelled according to it’s characteristics.For instance,I didn’t know that some snakes are harmless. I still can’t think of how many harmless snakes have left me screaming and running for my life.

The cultural huts are also breathtaking and you get to learn so much about the kenyan culture. The poa place resort gives visitors a chance to enjoy recreational facilities and lots of awesome food. There also is a swimming pool which just makes you wonna take a dive in the cool inviting water; considering that Eldoret is quite hot during the day.

PS;The food there is really amazing and the place is recommendable for families outings.

5 home remedies to achieve a clear, smooth and glowing face in two weeks.

Have you ever wondered what people do or eat to achieve clear and glowing skin ?Well, here’s the secret behind awesome skin.i personally use turmeric and my face is 😋😍.

PS;-all the ingredients used are available in our kitchens.

1.Turmeric powder.

Turmeric is widely known for its medicinal values. It is well known to treat ulcers, Tonsils, flu, stomach pains but here is what most people don’t know; It can give you an awesome skin !

To achieve a smooth and clear skin all you need is;

-1 teaspoon of turmeric

-2 teaspoons of milk

-a few drops of olive oil.

Procedure

Mix all the ingredients in a clean bowl.

Wash and Pat your face dry.

Apply the paste on your face as a face mask and wait for it to dry.

Wash your face and Pat it dry.

Repeat the same procedure for 2weeks for excellent results

2.Sugar

Sugar is another product that is easily found in our kenyan homes and can give you the smooth glowing face that you are dying to get.

What you need;

3 tablespoons of Sugar.

2tablespoons of olive oil.

Procedure

Mix the ingredients in a clean bowl

Apply the mixture on your face and wait for it to dry.

Wash your face and Pat it dry.

Repeat the same procedure for up to 2weeks.

3.Vaseline

The petroleum jelly is cheap and easily available in kenyan stores.😉 personally i use ARIMIs😉.

Procedure.

Wash your face and Pat it dry.

Apply Vaseline on your face.

NB: should be applied at night before going to sleep.

4.Lemon

Lemon has many uses in the house and can also be easily acquired.

Procedure.

Squeeze half a lemon’s juice into a bowl

Using cotton or an earbud, apply the lemon juice on the pimples taking care not to apply on the unaffected ski n.

The lemon juice is supposed to shrink and clear the pimples leaving you with a smooth skin.

5.water.

Drinking water clears the skin off toxins and harmful fats. It is advised that one drinks 6 glasses of water per day.
